1. How will Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., (RFK, Jr.) Make America Healthy Again (MAHA) without upgrading the practice of medicine? Allopathic (mainstream) doctors have proven to be a failure in stopping the real epidemic, chronic disease, which has exploded from 10% of Americans in 1990 to over half by 2010 (and showing no end in sight). Ignoring doctors’ advice, increasing percentages of Americans are seeking healing through alternative treatments and healers. One reform to address this change in the health market is one that applies to all occupations, not just those in health. While serving at the Goldwater Institute, Mr. Schlomach thought leaving quality to be determined not by licensing boards but rather by certifying organizations would help consumers much more than the status quo. If shysters falsely claimed compliance with criteria of such an organization, only then would the government step in as it does now, for fraud. Byron’s regime would prevent monopoly of oversight by allowing any new certifying organization to register with the State to start allowing members to advertise their brand to discerning customers. Competitive Certification is a dream to free market economists, and has been introduced again in Oklahoma by a State senator, Dusty Deevers. 2. For a more targeted reform regarding integrated care and natural healers, the National Health Freedom Action (NHFA) organization has sought expanded State “scope of practice” legislation to protect allopath (mainstream) doctors from licensing scrutiny if they dared to suggest to patients more natural treatments that had not yet been approved under their State’s (pHARMA-dominated) protocols. If we want doctors offering superior (natural) alternatives, Mr. O’Connor will tells us how to change State laws. At the same time NHFA has sought traditional Safe Harbors for naturopathic healers, whose healings don’t penetrate a human body sufficiently to warrant any licensing concern. Ms. Brokken will explain the progress of Safe Harbors and how to bring them to your State. Both Scope of Practice AND Safe Harbor goals are included in NHF’s email above for Competitive Certification. Please copy and paste the text into the “contact” section of your State politicians!
