1. While Mr. Buchanan in last month’s NHF Health Freedom Brainstorm showed polls demonstrating majority American support for Robert F. Kennedy’s Make America Healthy Again agenda, the poll didn’t cover all MAHA issues. And on the impact of the densifying wireless mesh of antennas outside and inside the structures and outdoor areas where we sleep, work, shop, drive, play, and live our daily lives, there exists little political support to say “no” to the insatiable demands of the Telecommunications industry. Under the rubric of “bridging the broadband digital divide,” carriers like T-Mobile, AT&T, and Verizon face little opposition when they cajole local officials to accept their applications to deploy cell towers ever closer to our neighborhoods, children's schools, and nearby parks. NHF’s own CFO Katherine Carroll confronted this horrifying fact this month, when her Washington State neighbors and she had to come up with the funds to pay a lawyer to beg her county not to force an antenna outside her bed ‘n breakfast property that many of us have visited. The lawyer on our side who pushed county officials to reject the wireless facility application is Scott McCullough from Children's Health Defense. NHF Lobbyist Frohman presented compelling testimony as well at the hearing. What little discretion local officials have to help property owners like Ms. Carroll has been disappearing for years but will disappear nearly completely if the Federal Communications Commission finalizes proposed Rule 25-276, or if Congress agrees to H.R. 2289. In addition to threatened broadband preemption, agriculture in the FARM bill includes several promotions of wireless tech that will harm livestock and farmers alike. Ms. Wilkens returns to update all of us on meetings she’s had with NHF Lobbyist Frohman against these bad ideas from Washington, D.C. – and how you can help both of them schedule meetings with Members of Congress to fight wireless-antenna proliferation.
