JOSEPH LADAPO, M.D., Ph.D.D r. Joseph Ladapo, M.D., Ph.D., and Surgeon General of the State of Florida, has written numerous articles and given many speeches during the COVID-19 pandemic challenging the deadly, mainstream medical narrative and protocols for its treatment. In spite of his demanding schedule, Dr. Ladapo also found the time to write a book, Transcend FearA Blueprint for Mindful Leadership in Public Health during the pandemic. Throughout, Dr. Ladapo has been a voice of reason and sanity opposing mainstream pandemic measures at a time when those lockdown mandates, masking, hospital protocols, and, above all, COVID-19 vaccines were harming and killing more people than COVID-19 itself. Recently, and in his official capacity as Floridas Surgeon General, Dr. Ladapo called for a com-plete halt to the sale and distribution of the Pfizer shot. The National Health Federation appreciates Dr. Ladapos unwavering search for the truth and his mindful public-health leadership in Florida ques-NHF Florida Rep Kathleen Furey tioning the COVID-19 party line at a time when so many others blindly presents the NHF Health Freedom accepted it and even promoted it.Hero Award to Dr. Joseph LadapoDR. DAN KENNER, Ph.D., L.Ac.H aving previously declined this Award for several years, Dr. Dan Kenner re-lented in 2023 and agreed to accept it. His reasoning for refusing the Award had always been mirrored to that expressed by one of the World War II soldiers in Stephen Ambroses book and miniseries, Band of Brothers, Was I a hero? No. But I served in a company of heroes. Fortu-nately, Dan changed his mind. A month later he passed away but not before he had the pleasure of receiving the physical award in his home.Dans innate modesty belied his lifelong efforts to advance better health and health freedom. A member of the NHF Board of Governors since 2008, Dan played key roles in our health-freedom work and, in 2015, even helped save the Federation when it was threatened by internal conflict.
