Dr. Ross Pelton, R.Ph, Ph.D, CCN

Ross is The Natural Pharmacist. His website, bio, and blog are at: www.naturalpharmacist.net. A graduate of the University of Wisconsin in 1966 with a degree in pharmacy, he received his Ph.D. in Psychology and Holistic Health from the University for Humanistic Studies in San Diego, California in 1984. Ross is also a Certified Clinical Nutritionist (CCN), the author of 12 books, and a health educator. Ross was also a Peace Corps volunteer in Malaysia (9/71-12/73) where he taught high-school chemistry. From 1988-1995, Ross lived in Baja, Mexico, where he was the Hospital Administrator at Hospital Santa Monica in Baja, which specialized in alternative, non-toxic cancer therapies. Ross has been a member of the Medical Advisory Board for the Life Extension Foundation for many years. Some of Ross’ published works include the following: Mind Food & Smart Pills (Doubleday, 1988); How To Prevent Breast Cancer (Simon & Schuster, 1995); The Drug-Induced Nutrient Depletion Handbook (Lexi-Comp, 2001); The Pill Problem (self-published 2012); Natural Therapies For Depression and Anxiety(a4-hour online course on Udemy.com website); Rapamycin, mTOR, Autophagy & Treating mTOR Syndrome (Praktikos Books, 2022); and The Microbiome Theory of Aging (article that was published in the Jan. 2023 issue of the peer-reviewed medical journal Integrative Medicine). Ross is currently the Director of Science and Education for Dallas-based Essential Formulas Incorporated, a company that markets premium probiotics.
