Russell Blaylock, M.D. not only compiles and edits Newsmax.com’s Blaylock Wellness Report, he is also a nationally recognized board-certified neurosurgeon, health practitioner, author, and lecturer, retired from practice. With a medical degree from Louisiana State University School of Medicine, Dr. Blaylock completed a surgical internship at the Medical University of South Carolina where he was the first intern to serve on the newly created burn and trauma unit directed by Dr. Curtis Arts and Dr. John Moncrief, two of the most renowned burn-and-trauma authorities. He was board certified in clinical nutrition in 2007.
For two years, Dr. Blaylock was an instructor for the certification program of the Foundation for Anti-Aging and Regenerative Medicine. He has written five books on medical subjects and chapters in six medical textbooks (each of which he illustrated), and over 60 articles, most in peer-reviewed journals.
Also the co-author of the book Cellular and Molecular Biology of Autism Spectrum Disorders, Dr. Blaylock writes a monthly newsletter, the Blaylock Wellness Report, as well as regular columns for other publications and websites, including the Neuroinflammatory and the Neuropsychiatry sections of the journal Surgical Neurology International. Having been for many years one of the editors for the Journal of the American Nutraceutical Association, he now serves on the editorial staff of the International Journal of Vaccine Theory, Practice and Research (IJVTPR). He is the 2004 recipient of the Integrity in Science Award given by the Weston A. Price Foundation.
